HOSPIRA has announced that it will be launching its new Plum 360 infusion device platform into the UK market. The Plum 360 device incorporates the already established benefits of the Plum A+ infusion system with added feature enhancements such as a tilted screen, tubing guides and a new keypad design.

Non-contact infrared thermometer
PROACT Temperature Monitoring range includes the Bokang non-contact infrared Forehead Thermometer. Offering non-invasive measurement of temperature, via infrared technology, the product has two measuring modes: body temperature and surface/ambient. This thermometer is extremely easy to use – users simply point and press the device within 2 cm - 5 cm of the patient’s forehead for a reading.

Soft suture anchor for hip and shoulder repair
SMITH & NEPHEW has announced the launch of its Suturefix Ultra soft suture anchor. Indicated for use in both hip and shoulder labral repair, this new anchor’s smaller size and soft construct allows surgeons to fine tune their repairs by adding additional anchors and fixation points.
Full spectrum endoscopy solution
IMAGE-TECH MEDICAL has introduced Fuse (Full Spectrum Endoscopy), which has a 330° field of view, utilising three HD cameras at the distal end. The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) NHS Trust has chosen MCKESSON Imaging and Workflow Solutions to deliver a fully integrated radiology solution, including McKesson’s web based radiology PACS system and Healthcare Software Systems CRIS. The PACS / RIS solution will also be implemented with McKesson StudyShare and QICS workflow solutions.
