The Heart Hospital in West London has recently purchased two Acuson CV70 ultrasound systems from SIEMENS, both with fourSight 3D TOE technology, and an image arena workstation.
The CV70 systems are used intraoperatively, as well as a diagnostic and monitoring tool, as Dr Sue Wright, consultant anaesthetist, confirmed: “We are now able to offer more precise diagnostic accuracy to all of our patients having cardiac surgery. The whole team has been delighted with the system’s capabilities, ease of use and manoeuvrability. Although we are at the early stages of using the 3D facilities, we are excited about the system’s features and how these will benefit our patients.”
The Acuson CV70 was developed specifically for providing adult and paediatric cardiovascular services as well as for transoesophageal and intraoperative applications and is equipped with the integrated Dimaq ultrasound workstation for digital acquisition, storage and display of complete ultrasound studies.
