STRYKER has announced the launch of Prime X, its next-generation transport and x-ray stretcher, which combines a safe and comfortable surface for examination and treatment with a high quality, integrated x-ray cassette platform.
When a hospital emergency department receives a sick or injured patient, timely and effective diagnosis and treatment can be critical in saving lives, and the equipment used by hospital staff can make a vital difference. Prime X increases hospital efficiency and caregiver safety with the following new features:
• Eliminates the need for a patient transfer for x-rays. Featuring new ClearView Technology, Prime X offers exceptional radiographic access and is designed to be compatible with the latest portable digital x-ray detectors. Caregivers can now take a wide variety of high quality diagnostic images directly on the stretcher.
• Easier stretcher identification saves time. Prime X comes with red colour coding so an x-ray capable stretcher can be easily selected at triage, helping to prevent further patient transfers.
• Increased weight capacity accommodates virtually any patient – Prime X offers a robust 700 pound (317kg) weight capacity.
• Zoom motorised drive makes transports easy.
