Wet wipe dispensers improve productivity

VERNACARE has introduced a wall mounted dispenser for its Tuffie wipes range. The system is said to offer increasing productivity and helps to make cost-efficiencies through waste reduction.

The dispensing system provides a designated fixed location for the wipes and saves time, which would be spent searching for products. It also uses less packaging than traditional tubs and canisters. Commenting on the system, Wendy Creasey, infection prevention and control nurse at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “This dispenser system for Tuffie 5 wipes allows us to contribute to waste reduction and helping to improve our carbon footprint.” By switching from traditional tubs and canisters, hospitals are able to make packaging waste savings of up to 85%, dependent on the current wipe product, says the company. The dispenser and refill system also offers a way to control consumption. The single wipe dispensing mechanism gives users control over how many wipes they dispense each time. An automatic closing lid mechanism also ensures that the wipes do not dry out. The dispensers can be used with Tuffie Detergent and Tuffie 5 multi-surface wipes, which are effective against all five major groups of pathogens, including Clostridium difficile, norovirus and MRSA.
