Spending cuts creates locum demand

BritishMedicalJobs.com has seen a marked shift in demand for healthcare staff over the 12 months since the Coalition Government took office, with a 55% increase in demand for Locum vacancies and a comparative 55% boost in the number of online applications.

The company, which specialises in medical, health and social care positions throughout the UK, has found that while overall demand for healthcare professionals has fallen by some 48%, there has been a rise in the number of temporary positions recruited for– particularly those for doctors and allied health professionals.
