K-MED will be launching its range of CareBag bedpan liners, which are suitable for all applications – including emergencies, long-term stays, surgery, obstetrics, orthopedics, oncology, dialysis, maternity, ambulatory and home care.
Once the hygienic liner is placed over the bedpan, the absorbent pad solidifies materials and urine (up to 500 mL). The liner can then be hermetically sealed and disposed of in regular wastes (as for diapers) or in biohazard wastes if the patient is infectious. The liners decrease day-to-day expenses and reduce bedpan washer consumption, while minimising unpleasant odours.
