Comprehensive care Foley tray

The all-in-one BARD Comprehensive Care Foley Tray, that provides all the essential items required for a catheterisation or recatheterisation procedure, is now available with the Bardex I.C anti-infective Foley catheter. The catheter, with Bacti-Guard silver alloy coating, helps reduce CAUTIs by more than a third and its advantages are supported by a wide range of clinical studies.

The tray offers a number of benefits to both healthcare professionals and patients. The NHS “Productive Ward: releasing time to care” initiative aims to help identify areas for improvement and give the hospital staff the time they need to tackle them. Through reducing CAUTIs, the Bardex I.C anti-infective Foley catheter releases time to care, which can in turn improve the patient experience.

Reducing the rate of urinary tract infections is also inline with the Department of Health’s high impact action for nurses. This recognises that UTIs lead to longer hospital stays whilst also costing an estimated £1,122 per patient. The Comprehensive Care Foley Tray supports the drive to reduce UTIs through encouraging best practice, while also maintaining a sterile environment created by a true closed system.

Foley Trays are also available with the Bardia PTFE Foley, the Biocath Foley catheter and the Lubri-Sil Foley catheter. Each catheter is preconnected with a tamper proof seal to a collection system.
In addition, the kit contains:
• 1x waterproof surface underpad
• 1x patient protection fenestrated drape
• 1x Statlock Foley stabilisation device
• 2 pairs of latex free gloves
• 5 gauze squares
• 1x syringe of urethral lubricant, apron, refuse bag
• 3x prefilled 10ml syringe of sterile water and 1x empty 10ml syringe.
