This year, BARD will exhibit its new Comprehensive Care Foley Tray – an “all in one” kit containing everything required for safe aseptic catheterisation or recatheterisation procedures. From September 2009, the Tray will be available with the Bardex I.C anti-infective Foley catheter with Bacti-Guard silver alloy coating and Bard hydrogel.
The Bardex I.C Foley catheter helps reduce CAUTIs by more than a third and its advantages over conventional catheters are supported by a wide range of clinical studies. Also on the stand is the new Dignicare stool management system, specifically designed for patients with faecal incontinence. The advanced features of the product help to reduce the risk of skin breakdown and keep potentially infected material contained, reducing the risk of cross-infection. Trusted products also displayed include the range of Statlock stabilisation devices that provide tape-free securement for intercostal drains, arterial lines, peripheral IV and Foley catheters.
