New webinar on 'stopping infections at source'

A new webinar will provide an insight into how clinicians can stop infections at source. Taking place on Tuesday 2nd June 2026 from 15:00–16:00 BST, the session will examine how colonisation of the nose and skin can act as an upstream driver of healthcare associated infections.

'Stopping infections at source: Exploring the characteristics of effective nasal and skin decontamination' will explore what effective decontamination requires in real-world clinical settings, including the scientific, practical and operational considerations influencing adoption. Topics will include usability, staff compliance, workflow integration and why some approaches may be better suited than others to delivering consistent, scalable infection prevention outcomes.

The webinar will feature insights from Eleonora Iervella, Surgical Pathway Infection Prevention and Control Nurse and Senior Cardiothoracic Theatres Practitioner at Royal Papworth Hospital, and Dr Nicolas Loebel, President and Chief Technology Officer at Ondine Biomedical.

The session is relevant for infection prevention specialists, surgeons and surgical teams, perioperative and theatre nurses, infection control practitioners and wider clinical support staff.

The educational webinar is part of Mölnlycke's 2026 clinical education series, 'Prevent, Protect, Provide', delivered in collaboration with Ondine Biomedical.
