The proven 71⁄2 minute, 3 cell cycle Virtuoso represents a step forward in the acceleration in healing of pressure ulcers in the most vulnerable and critically ill patients. The human body’s natural response to pressure and discomfort is to continually move and change position of the area of tissue under load. The three cell cycle of the Virtuoso mimics this human response to pressure by providing frequent complete elimination of pressure. Virtuoso is a 24-hour care pressure elimination system with features that facilitate effective and flexible patient care, such as dynamic and static modes, plus the ability to evaluate the progress of treatment in “assessment mode”. Patient comfort and safety is also addressed with a highly visible CPR facility, easily accessible directly from the SCU for rapid deflation in emergency situations, while integrated side formers, providing support and stabilisation.
