Innovia Medical has announced the introduction of the DTR Medical® Oral Rotating Biopsy Punch to its Single-use ENT range. The UK manufactured Oral Rotating Biopsy Punch has been designed specifically for use in oral procedures to obtain a biopsy from the front of mouth, gums, tongue, soft palette, and tonsil area.
The company has launched two variants of the product:
- Oral Rotating Biopsy Punch 120mm
- Oral Rotating Biopsy Punch Long 180mm
To develop this product, Innovia Medical has used its patented DTR Technology which has seen 10 years of design improvements to better suit the needs of clinics. Engineered alongside the company's customers, the product has several key benefits that include:
- “Through cutting” jaw
- A toughened top jaw, stronger than titanium
- 360° rotation to allow enhanced positioning and patient interaction, increasing clinician visibility during procedures
- Low profile jaw providing better access
