VERNACARE has launched an improved single-use measuring jug, designed to prevent infection and save nursing time, as well as cut costs. The new jug is claimed to be the first medical pulp product to integrate a level indicator, eliminating the need to use a dipstick to measure fluids. A new ergonomically designed handle has also been introduced to provide improved grip.
Single-use jug
The 1.3 litre jug is ideal for measuring urine, carrying fluids around the ward, and emptying catheter bags, stomas and drains. Made entirely from recycled newspaper, it is an environmentally friendly product which is maceratable after use, disintegrating with the cold water process to wash down the drain with the waste water.
