Specialist seminar for decontamination managers with IHEEM and Eastwood Park this May

Eastwood Park is pleased to release details of its third Specialist Decontamination Seminar, presenting a unique opportunity for those working in decontamination management roles to hear from industry experts and discuss current issues.

Taking place on 22-24 May 2019 at Eastwood Park’s training centre in Falfield, Gloucestershire, it will tackle wide ranging decontamination topics in some depth.

Aimed at Authorising Engineers (Decontamination), Decontamination Leads and Authorised Persons aspiring to a higher level or those working in a decontamination management role, it is endorsed and recognised by the Institute of Healthcare Engineering & Estate Management and is an IHEEM CPD event.

The seminar affords a rare opportunity to draw on the knowledge and experience of a number of highly regarded decontamination experts from within the NHS, relevant institutes and associations, as well as from the commercial sector. Topics will include:

Day one
Endoscope decontamination | Endoscopy auditing requirements | Microbiology challenges

Day two

Understanding standards as an AED | Chemical & biological indicators | Pharmaceutical standards

Day three
Quality assurance | Steam sterilization | Tracking & traceability

Lisa Slevin, Eastwood Park’s Learning & Development Manager has created an event with IHEEM that is quite different for the sector:

“Once again we hope to create a real forum for the sharing of current information and encourage debate to support those facing challenges in the decontamination environment. It is a rare opportunity to be able to speak with specialists and share knowledge and opinions with like-minded colleagues.”

The 3-day seminar costs £425 per person and spaces are limited, call Eastwood Park on +44 (0)1454 262777 or email us to reserve your space.
