We were recently commissioned to replace the sterilization equipment within the Sterile Services Department for University Hospital, Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (SGH). The existing sterilizers were reaching the end of their useful working life, becoming unreliable and prone to a significant number of failures.
All from our new manufacturing facility in Northamptonshire (UK), we supplied, installed and commissioned four of our Logiclave® PL800 Porous Load Sterilizers. Phasing this work over a four month period ensured that downtime for this busy SSD was kept to an absolute minimum. The compact design of the PL800 along with alterations to the existing plantroom layout eased loading issues previously encountered on the No.1 Sterilizer and provided space for future expansion.
Aiming to support our customers throughout the lifespan of the equipment, a full service and maintenance contract with emergency on-site breakdown response cover was also provided. The Logiclave® range of autoclaves and steam sterilizers are designed and built wholly in the UK and are available with capacities from 100 to 6000 litres. Standard units are available direct or via NHS supply chain frameworks for decontamination and laboratory equipment.
