You Call The Shots With New Infection Prevention Innovation From Tristel

Tristel’s latest disinfection system HOT SHOT by Cache™ is being launched at this year’s Infection Prevention Society’s annual conference in Glasgow.

HOT SHOT from Tristel is a brand new, high-level disinfectant for high-touch medical surfaces and non-invasive medical equipment in high-risk patient environments.

You can get the first glimpse of the disinfection system that keeps you in control at the 11th Infection Prevention Society’s annual conference 2018 on stand 144.

HOT SHOT is an innovative dual-compartment burstable capsule for the generation of 500ml chlorine dioxide working solution, tested to the latest EN standards.

The capsules contain a convenient pre-measured concentrate solution, which is only released when burst into a HOT SHOT Bottle filled with 500ml of water (H2O). This creates a secure closed-loop system, meaning there is reduced exposure to concentrate chemicals and chemical odours. You simply burst the capsule and after just a two-minute dwell time, tilt the Bottle to mix, dose and wipe.

HOT SHOT is ideal for high-level disinfection of high-touch, non-invasive medical device surfaces in patient bed spaces, intensive care units, isolation wards, operating theatres, oncology wards and neonatal wards.

These surfaces include mattresses, bed rails, over bed tables, IV poles, night stands, patient monitoring equipment, commodes and more.

HOT SHOT protects surfaces against spores, mycobacteria, viruses, yeasts and bacteria found in healthcare settings, including Clostridium difficile (C. diff), Mycobacterium terrae, Adenovirus, Candida albicans, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Escherichia coli (E. coli).

With realistic contact times, which are always shorter than the drying time, solution traceability thanks to the Bottle labels and dry wipe pens, HOT SHOT is the first of a new generation of non-resistant infection prevention from Tristel. UK-based Tristel has been manufacturing disinfection products for healthcare facilities for the past 25 years, with a continued commitment to quality and innovation.

The HOT SHOT product boasts a small footprint, as one pallet will hold up to 6,000 HOT SHOT units – equating to 600,000 peracetic acid (PAA) sporicidal wipes. What’s more, it’s made from 100% polypropylene so is completely recyclable.

HOT SHOT by Cache™ enables you to decide exactly how much disinfectant is required and how it is dispersed. This provides you with flexibility and control over contact times, dispersal methods and the output of physical clinical waste.

Whether it be a multi-purpose paper towel, a micro fibre mitt, a biodegradable wipe, a J-Cloth or a Conti Wipe, you can choose which spreading device to use. This allows further value to be gained from the dry wipe materials already available to you.
