SYNERGY HEALTH has announced the launch of the new economy and eco-friendly Synergy Health Essentials Washcloth. The maceratable, single-use, dry cleansing wipe is part of the company’s new value range of patient hygiene products, aimed at saving both money and the environment.
The cost-effective Synergy Health Essentials Washcloth is a heavyweight dry wipe and highly absorbent, with high wet strength. The washcloth is manufactured from a highly durable, strong material which is macerator friendly. This will help NHS Trusts to minimise waste and reduce the high cost of waste disposal, while complying with legislation and meeting sustainability targets. The wipe’s maceration performance has been tested by macerator specialists, the Haigh Engineering Company. Nick Dale, Haigh sales manager, said: “Thorough testing has shown that the new Essentials Washcloths successfully disintegrate into minute fragments when macerated in our Haigh machines and then flush down the drains with the waste water. This is an environmentally friendly product that will save managers money on clinical waste disposal.”
