SCHÜLKE has introduced Gigazyme first – a single-use endoscopy bedside cleaning kit, for the stage one cleaning of endoscopes. The kit includes a 500 mL tub of Gigazyme first, which is an enzyme based pre-diluted medical grade detergent, and comes complete with a handy contoured sponge.
Gigazyme first is designed for convenient use at the bedside immediately after an endoscopy procedure and will begin the process of removing contaminants from the outside sheath and inside channel of the endoscope, providing optimal phase one cleaning before the endoscope is transported for further manual and automated reprocessing. Each kit is individually packaged for single-use, eliminating the risk of cross-contamination. The 500 mL solution is exactly the right amount required by endoscope manufacturers cleaning guidelines.
