Durable fabric resists bugs

GRAHAME GARDNER’S new antibacterial fabric Assure incorporates the natural element silver, which offers proven protection against MRSA and other HAIs.

Assure offers excellent durability against washing and dry cleaning and benefits from the anti-microbial properties that are found in silver, creating a fabric that will not sustain bacteria.

The fabric also helps keep the wearer feeling fresh throughout the day and causes no adverse skin reactions. James Greenlees, managing director of Grahame Gardner commented: “Assure is a costeffective means of protecting staff and ensuring uniforms are not contributing to the ongoing infection problems. The flexibility of the fabric also means it has countless applications, from traditional nurses’ tunics and trousers to corporate wear for consultants and non-clinical staff.”

The flexibility of the fabric, coupled with the company’s bespoke manufacturing service means that customers can utilise the fabric in countless ways. Assure feels and looks like regular fabric so can be used to create anti-bacterial variations of garments.
