Hospital steam steriliser loads often consist of complicated instruments and the real challenge for sterilisers today is to sterilise inside narrow lumens. The BD Helix Test (BDHT), introduced by ATI ATLAS, is said to offer several advantages over the standard Bowie Dick Test Pack.
These advantages include detection of small volumes of non-condensable gases, small leakages, air removal and steam penetration in hollow instruments. The Sterintech BDHT has been validated by external CIER vessel testing and complies to ISO 11140 Part 1 – Class 2, and is available in various formats.
