ACTIVA HEALTHCARE has recently launched a new active debridement system called Debrisoft.
In a matter of minutes it is able to remove wound debris and necrotic material, slough and exudate, even longstanding hyperkeratosis – reducing the risk of infection and allowing newly formed granulation tissue and epithelial cells to remain intact. Debrisoft is able to debride wounds in just 2-4 minutes, rather than the days and even weeks with a dressing. It is soft and flexible and effectively binds to wound debris, locking it into the fibres. The product can be disposed of as normal clinical waste.
