The K2MS Portal 19” Medical Touchscreen PC was developed by K2 Medical Systems to offer an advanced maternity care computing platform to provide patient safety, with an infection control design.
Now the Panel PC is being made available to the wider medical industry, outside of the company’s Guardian obstetrics system. APC CONTECH, a UK-based infection control hardware supplier, will be adding value to the overall system by offering other infection control IT peripherals such as the NHS approved Medigenic infection control computer keyboard and mouse. The K2MS Portal carries the appropriate regulatory approvals to international Medical Electrical Equipment safety standards (IEC/EN 60601-1 family). The unit includes an Ethernet port and a Serial port. These isolated interfaces allow for direct connection to other electrical equipment and hospital IT networks without the need for additional separation measures.
