Desderman Pure hand hygiene gel, from SCHÜLKE UK is a rapid acting alcohol based hand rub formulated for hand disinfection in 30 seconds.
The gel is said to be effective against bacteria (TB, MRSA, VRE), fungi and viruses (including HBV, HCV, HIV, polio, herpes simplex, adeno, rota and vaccinia virus) within 90 seconds for surgical use. Colour and perfume free, it is also gentle on the skin and is suitable for frequent use. A recent study at an NHS laboratory concluded that the gel provides an effective solution for minimising the risks associated with the transfer of contamination.
