The Premium range of endotrachael tube introducers (bougies) and intubation stylets, have been launched by PROACT MEDICAL. The new bougies range offers a variety of benefits such as unique memory retention to allow shaping to individual preferences and needs.
By adding extra tip graduations, laryngeal inlet entry and exit guidance is improved while the combination of high gloss, low friction outer surfaces with a low point, blunt pressure tip reduces the risk of accidental trauma. Markings at each cm allow for accuracy in judging the bougie depth within the trachea. The introduction of a barium tip for good X-ray guidance also provides the benefit of a high visibility colour for improved positioning in poor light. Designed for single-use, the range eliminates the cost of cleaning and reprocessing while minimising the risk of contamination and providing a cost-effective solution to intubation.
