Non-invasive diagnosis of LUTS

A new method of diagnosing Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) in men is offered with the MEDIPLUS CT3000, which is able to diagnose a bladder outlet obstruction noninvasively, using a penile cuff.

The new technique, which uses the cuff to measure bladder contractility, is said to offer a more accurate prediction of the outcome from surgery by categorising patients that are less likely to have a good outcome and provide more confident predictions for those patients who will.
