Now, new telemedicine solutions may make travelling long distances to visit a doctor or specialist a thing of the past. Designed to extend the reach of healthcare while reducing costs, telemedicine pilots are taking place around the world delivering specialist healthcare consultations over the Internet, providing an experience similar to faceto- face consultations.
