KIMBERLY-CLARK HEALTH CARE has created a new, innovative fabric for its best-in-class MicroCool surgical gown that combines high performance with high level protection and comfort.
Using its own patented SFS technology, Kimberly-Clark’s KC400 MicroCool offers “all over” impervious protection for complex, high risk specialised surgery, as well as long-lasting high fluid procedures. The SFS technology of the MicroCool gown achieves the combination of performance, protection and comfort through a thin, strong layer of breathable film enclosed in two layers of soft, nonwoven fabric. The film lets moisture vapour pass easily through the gown while preventing penetration of blood and bodily fluids. The KC 400 MicroCool exceeds the European Norm EN 13795 High Performance Standard in preventing liquid and microbial penetration and ISO 11810-1 for flame resistance which is vital in the operating room that frequently makes use of oxygen, lasers and cautery devices.
