One particular washer, the PG8528 barrier machine, excels in large capacity washing with a number of added benefits to the hospital environment. The modular concept of the machines allows for them to be flexible, and sit within a range of available spaces, either alone, or as part of a group. A number of special features are provided by Miele Professional machines, including Perfect Touch Control, Perfect Vision and Perfect Hepa Drying. The Perfect Touch control display is set flush into the front of a machine within a glass panel, allowing for ease of use and cleaning to ensure optimum levels of hygiene. All operating stages are shown in clear text in the graphic display, including required data such as temperature, time remaining and wash time – all of which can be personalised by the individual user. The Miele Professional PG85 range is enabled with Perfect Vision. The range has optimal full glass interlocked lift-up doors, which allow the user to view and visually monitor the wash process, and the lift-up door automatically opens at the end of the programme. Perfect Hepa Drying is setting new hygiene standards for the drying phase. A class EU 13 HEPA high temperature filter has been placed in the front of the cabinet, which prevents undesirable particles from entering the heater, fan or silencer, so the air in the wash cabinet is exceptionally clean. This has the added benefit of extending service intervals, which is an economic benefit to hospitals. The PG85 range additionally conforms to HTM 2030 standard requirements.
