ECOLAB has launched a new system for the automated reprocessing of surgical instruments. The new SolidSafe System incorporates Ecolab’s patented SolidSafe technology, which makes it possible to generate as much cleaning power as 80 litres of conventional liquid concentrate from just one 4 kg capsule of the solid MetalClean product.
The correct dilution of solid detergent is dispensed by the SolidSafe Dispenser, which is installed by Ecolab’s technicians at the customer’s site. Specifically developed to promote staff safety in SSD, the system helps ensure greater compliance with best practice guidelines on lifting and handling, providing easier handling for SSD personnel, as well as ensuring no leaks or drips, which leads to safer floors with no chemical exposure. Combined with excellent cleaning performance, the SolidSafe system also provides many efficiency benefits within the SSD:

• Free of phosphates, EDTA or NTA.
SolidSafe Dispenser also monitors product usage, enabling Ecolab technicians to provide customers with batch documentation and independent validation of the batch concentration, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines.
