BES DECON, a division of BES REHAB, has joined with CISA SpA to set up a new company for the manufacture and distribution of new SSD test indicators called BIOTAK.
The first product, under trial at present, is an indicator which can be mixed in with the load in an instrument washer-disinfector. At the end of the wash cycle, the test strip is placed into an ATP bioluminescence test device and within two minutes provides an indication of whether the quality of the wash cycle was acceptable. This novel test system provides a test system that is over 10,000 times more sensitive than a ninhydrin test, and provides a quantifiable record that can be included with standard track and trace records.
