FINSBURY ORTHOPAEDICS, pioneer in large diameter metal-on-metal hip resurfacing, has launched an enhanced hip implant called Adept which works with a variety of system options.
In addition to these size options, Adept features optimised surface fixation on the cup, enhanced range of motion and advanced instrumentation. The cup has an HA coated as-cast, beaded structure to encourage bone ingrowth.
Performance is further enhanced by the Adept cementless stem which ensures a precision fit to the modular head. The stem features a dual tapered profile for a secure press fit fixation in the host bone. Surface roughness assists long term implant stability.
