As the NHS is tasked with making savings of 20 billion pounds over the next four years, trusts are already making cuts in nursing posts and an estimated 5,600 jobs could be at risk across all areas and services.
According to the Association for Perioperative Practice (AfPP), nursing staff can increase their employability factor - as well as boosting promotion opportunities - by investing time into CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
In these uncertain times, staff can demonstrate commitment to improving standards, share best practice with fellow professionals and earn CPD/ CME credits by attending sector-leading events such as AfPP2010 Congress and Exhibition.
