A new dedicated single-patient hospital pack, comprising of 125 mL Hibi Scrub Plus, has been launched by MOLNLYCKE for hospital staff to give to patients for a whole body wash prior to surgery, or for use while staying overnight on the ward.
Patients will be encouraged to use Hibi Scrub Plus the day before, and on the day of their operation, to help reduce the risk of picking up a superbug infection. The introduction of an individual bottle for each patient, providing the right amount of antimicrobial solution for the whole body wash procedure, is an excellent way to help combat infection. The whole body wash contains 4% w/v Chlorhexidine gluconate and kills 99.99% of clinically relevant MRSA strains within one minute, with excellent persistent antimicrobial efficacy for up to six hours.
