ECOLAB, the infection prevention specialist, will be showcasing its new fully virucidal alcohol hand gel, Spirigel Complete. With the theme of “Complete Protection – Everywhere It Matters”, the company will be demonstrating its products and services to the attending delegates.
Containing 85% ethanol as the active ingredient, the new Spirigel complete is shown to be active against many viruses, yeasts and bacteria in a shorter contact time of only 15 seconds. It also passes EN 1500, EN 12791, EN14476, EN13727 and EN13624. This, combined with its userfriendly formulation, gives greater assurance to infection prevention teams aiming to improve compliance levels in hand hygiene practice. Additionally, Spirigel Complete’s lower viscosity formulation means a better surface coverage can be achieved. Furthermore, there is less dripping during use, as well as improved contact with the skin. Developed by Ecolab’s R&D team, research has shown strong approval for the product’s properties, including the effect on the skin in the healthcare setting. The inclusion of aloe and panthenol as ingredients provides an increased moisturising benefit for regular users. In line with Ecolab’s long-term policy of providing advice and support materials to infection control teams, Spirigel Complete offers a full package of such materials, including rub technique posters, developed in line with WHO Guidelines; awareness raising signage; and a variety of dispensing formats for all points of use.
