Free symposium for clinical engineers

A free educational symposium, which aims to improve levels of clinical knowledge among biomedical engineers, will be held at the Heritage Motor Centre, Warwickshire, 1 July 2010.

The “Completing the Picture” event, sponsored by an educational grant from Welch Allyn, is now entering its 9th year. Among the topics covered will include: “How to maintain positive airway pressure”, “Advances in pacemaker defibrillator technology”, “Implementing RFID tracking” and “The effective maintenance of 21st Century equipment”. In addition, a workshop will be held which will look at how cuff size affects blood pressure readings, while the Clinical Engineering Team of the Year Award winner will also be announced at the event.
