MEDICAL INNOVATIONS has announced a major addition to its Meditherapy range, the Uno-Flush all-in-one detergent cleaner and disinfectant, designed for the initial flush and wipe of an endoscope immediately post-procedure.
The blend of surfactants in Uno- Flush provides an extremely low surface tension and therefore starts to break down gross debris immediately on contact. This also prevents the formation of biofilm within the endoscope channels. Uno- Flush is not a fixative, is anti-foaming and contains corrosion inhibitors – making it safe on use with metals and plastics. Due to the increase in sensitisation in the handling of enzymatic detergents, it also contains no enzymes. Uno-Flush is powered by Virusolve EDS, which is dedicated and approved for endoscopy use. Most importantly, Uno-Flush is provided in stable packaging with an easy peel lid and dedicated scope sponge to wipe down the outside surface of the endoscope. The Uno-Flush tub is also clear, so users can see exactly how much detergent has been sucked up. The low profile of the Uno-Flush container means it can sit inside a covered Cleanascope tray and therefore should fit seamlessly within working practices, while still providing safe storage and transportation. Finally, Uno-Flush is completely safe to use and is 100% biodegradable.
