PEACOCKs has achieved its first order for the new AER washer-disinfectors at Kettering General Hospital. After extensive assessments and a tender proposal the Steelco EW/2 was chosen as the best solution to their refurbishment project.
The EW/2 has been developed incorporating all the latest requirements for the decontamination of flexible endoscopes and has been accepted onto the NHS Supply Chain Framework for endoscopy AER machines. Another development is the installation of Steelco’s new short cycle time washerdisinfector – available in two capacity sizes of 10 DIN and 15 DIN tray versions and providing a proven HTM 2030 compliant cycle time of 34 minutes (AP approved and witnessed at the company’s latest installation). With the opportunity to process surgical instruments in 34 minutes it is of great interest to those sterile service departments where space is limited. Additionally, departments unable to increase their number of machines can replace one or more of their existing machines with the Steelco DS1000 3S to increase their throughput by 50% per machine.
