The company will showcase its new BioGienie Hydrogen Peroxide Vaporisation (HPV) Robot aimed at tackling the continued threat of healthcare-acquired infections. The Hygienics BioGienie decontamination system is the next generation HPV Robot. It disperses a non-toxic/non-corrosive ionised dry mist of two active ingredients, H202 and silver ions. This combination of disinfectants attacks and kills a wide range of pathogens, including H1N1, MRSA, C. difficile, E. coli, norovirus and VRE. It uses a low concentration of H202 as well as being light and high manoeuvrable. These factors make it safer for staff to operate, much quicker and cost effective than similar products, enabling an average sized ward to be decontaminated within just three hours.
