BARD has launched the Comprehensive Care Foley Tray which provides all the essential items required for a catheterisation or recatheterisation procedure.
The tray offers a number of benefits: it encourages best practice, is designed to maintain a sterile environment, and helps reduce the risk of infection by maintaining a true “closed system”. Foley Trays are available with one of four catheters: the Bardex I.C anti-infective Foley catheter with BactI-Guard silver alloy coating which has been shown to reduce catheter associated urinary tract infections by up to a third, the Bardia PTFE Foley, the Biocath Foley catheter and the lubri-sil Foley catheter. Each catheter is preconnected to a 350 ml chambered urine meter, B2000 bed bag or a B500M leg bag. Other items include: a waterproof surface protection blanket, patient protection fenestrated under pad, Statlock Foley stabilisation device, two pairs of latex free gloves, 0.9% saline solution, cleansing gauze, swabs, a syringe of urethral lubricant, apron, refuse bag and a pre-filled 10 ml syringe of sterile water and an empty 10 ml syringe
