Surgical Holdings highlights upcoming free CPD-accredited webinar on surgical retractors

Surgical Holdings is inviting healthcare professionals to join its upcoming free, CPD-accredited webinar, Back to Basics: Surgical Retractors, taking place on Friday, 20 March at 12:00 pm.

Delivered as part of the Surgical Holdings Academy, the session is designed to provide practical, real-world insights into one of the most commonly used yet often overlooked categories of surgical instruments.

The webinar will explore the complexities of surgical retractors, including the materials used in their manufacture, the different types available, and their clinical applications. A live Q&A session will follow, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with experts and deepen their understanding.

This session is particularly relevant for theatre teams, sterile services professionals, procurement leads, and those involved in the management, processing, or purchasing of surgical instruments.

Dan Coole from Surgical Holdings commented: “At Surgical Holdings, we believe that sharing knowledge is key to raising standards across the industry. Our Academy webinars are designed to give healthcare professionals practical, real-world insights they can apply in their day-to-day roles, while creating a space for open discussion and learning.”

The Surgical Holdings Academy delivers education focused on how medical devices perform in real clinical settings, helping healthcare professionals better understand the materials, manufacture, function, and longevity of surgical instruments used daily in patient care.

A second webinar, An Exploration into Endoscopy!, will follow on Thursday, 7 May, continuing the Academy’s focus on delivering accessible, high-quality education across key areas of surgical practice.

Attendance is free, but advance registration is required. Book your place here
