The new small, lightweight power unit with integral sealed canister weighs less then 1 kg , and measures 160 mm x 90 mm x 160 mm. Other standard features include dual power technology, offering a seamless choice of mains or 24 hr battery power, soft touch buttons and easy to read LCD screens, continuous or intermittent therapy, auto lockout, sophisticated alarm functions, including advanced predictive low vacuum warning, tilt, “canister full” and “dressing leak low pressure” alarms. The 300 ml integral sealed canister incorporates solidifying granules, hydrophobic and carbon bacterial filters. Also included as standard are a carry bag, integrated bedside hanger and IV pole attachment. The compact system uses the existing Venturi range of wound sealing kits that are available either directly via NHS Supply Chain or on FP10.
