Antibacterial suture reduces infection risk
Ethicon Plus antibacterial sutures are proven to kill bacteria and inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture by microorganisms known to contribute to surgical site infections (SSIs). Vicryl Plus Suture and Monocryl Plus Suture are impregnated with the antibacterial agent Irgacare MP, the purest form of the antiseptic Triclosan, which has been used for over 30 years in consumer products, and has a proven track record of efficacy.
