- (INSTRUMENTS) has introduced a new range of single patient use protective cuff barriers. The cuff barriers can be applied in seconds and are suitable for use with any upper arm cuff.

They are manufactured in latex free Fabricel tissue fused with leakproof polyethylene film. The soft tissue is fitted against the arm for maximum patient comfort and the cuff is placed over the barrier. The barriers are thin enough not to affect blood pressure measurements, but at the same time provide hygienic protection. They can be used with 24-hour blood pressure monitors, vital signs monitors, digital or manual sphygmomanometers. Quality is assured as they are manufactured in accordance with the ISO13485:2003 Quality Standard. The cuff barriers are available in three sizes – paediatric, adult and large adult.
