PURITE, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of water purification systems, will be highlighting a new resource – www.waterpurification.org.uk – which has been launched to help consulting engineers, health service managers and laboratory staff to understand and specify water purification technology. It provides a wide range of detailed information needed by all those involved in the construction and use of sterile service and decontamination departments, renal dialysis units and medical and healthcare laboratories.
Understanding water purification
The new web site contains sections that explain the differences in water quality across the UK, the standards that apply to different applications and the various technologies that can be used, including reverse osmosis, ion exchange and disinfection. The site also includes sample equipment specification and plant schematics, providing consulting engineers and facility designers with a quick and simple method of producing initial site plans; similarly, an “ask the expert” facility enables engineers and healthcare managers to ask water purification experts at Purite for help with project specification.
