NHS Supply Chain win for wristbands

British company BRENMOOR has signed a contract with NHS Supply Chain to supply printable patient wristbands into its regional distribution depots.

The tender originated as a result of the recent NPSA release regarding patient wristbands. By July 2008, wristbands had to conform to the recommended design and by July 2009, patient details have to be printed from the hospital demographic system e.g. PAS.

All Brenmoor wristbands comply fully with the NPSA requirements and can be thermally printed with text, images and barcodes and are resistant to soaps, water and alcohol.

They can also be supplied with RFID technology fitted. Brenmoor supply wristbands that can be printed in the vast majority of thermal printers. Brenmoor printable wristbands are used in over 50 UK hospitals.
