XOGRAPH HEALTHCARE has recently installed two buckyStar digital radiography (DR) systems into X-ray rooms 1 and 2 at The Royal Berkshire Hospital (RBH). Canon’s advanced fixed and portable single tile DR detectors have been fitted to both rooms, providing high quality diagnostic images within seconds, significantly improving workflow and productivity. RBH also took this opportunity to install Xograph’s digital orthopaedic image stitching software and hardware.
Digital radiography
The Royal Berkshire Hospital was impressed by Canon’s lightweight high DQE portable detectors, which enable DR imaging in challenging situations where the movement of patients to a radiographic table is not an option. Mr. Buddhadasa Weerasinghe, superintendent radiographer at RBH, commented that buckyStar DR had enhanced the overall experience for both patients and radiographers, and reduced patient waiting times.
