Disposable ophthalmic surgical instruments

Committed to improving the quality of healthcare and reducing risks in the hospital environment, BD MEDICAL OPHTHALMIC SYSTEMS has introduced Visitec – a new generation of 100% disposable ophthalmic instruments, combining the convenience of a plastic handle and the precision of a steel tip.

The company aims to provide medical staff and patients with high quality, innovative disposable products for ophthalmic surgery which contribute to reducing infection transmission risks, thus complying with the growing number of directives in favour of using safetyengineered medical devices.

The range, currently including two forceps, two manipulators and a speculum, is available both individually and as a kit, with plans to extend the range to include additional instruments.
