Focus on education

MÖLNLYCKE HEALTH CARE will be highlighting its continuing commitment to educating healthcare professionals. The experience and knowledge of its expert clinical team. Nigel Braithwaite, clinical development manager and Jane Aston, clinical nurse consultant, are now available to present “Continuing Education Sessions” on a variety of current issues at hospitals or Trusts.

Nigel Braithwaite’s sessions focus on infection control and in particular: the importance of using effective drapes and gowns in the creation and maintenance of a sterile field; drapes and gowns as medical devices (what this means to providers and users); and the importance of compliance with the Medical Device Directive, BS EN13795 and related legislation.

Jane Aston’s expertise and background enable her to present on double gloving: utilising evidence based practice to reduce your risk; reducing the potential risk of latex, as well as tackling problem pathogens such as Hepatitis. Further topics are planned, including hand hygiene, MRSA (the clinical and financial impact) and SSI.
