VERNAGROUP has announced that it will be launching its new Vortex macerator and powerful Tuffie 5 wipes, which eradicate the major five major groups of pathogens – including Clostridium difficile, MRSA and E. coli.
This UK engineered system, which is designed to work with sister company Vernacare’s single-use pulp products, will process four items of pulp in just two minutes – using a cold water cycle to disintegrate the used pulp and wash the tiny, biodegradable fragments down the drain with the wastewater.
Vortex has been trialled at seven hospitals in the UK, Europe and Australia where ward evaluation has been extremely positive. Some 84% of ward staff reported that the new hands free opening device saved time, while 88% believed that the new macerator could reduce cross infection and 90% of nurses found it easy to operate.
