Antimicrobial put to the test

The Hospital Infection Research Laboratory, in Birmingham, has conducted EN1276 quantitative suspension efficacy testing on TECare antimicrobial fluid using four organisms; Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Enterococcus hirae.

To pass this test a greater than five log reduction in test bacteria is required within five minutes. TECare achieved greater reductions in bacterial load than was required within one minute in both clean and dirty conditions.

TECare is a safe, effective broad spectrum high level antimicrobial product that coats hard and soft surfaces, inhibiting microbial growth for up to four weeks without damaging the treated material. A range of TECare products are available from wipes to 20 litre drums and they currently being used by NHS and private healthcare facilities across the UK.

The TALLEY GROUP uses and recommends TECare for the cleaning and decontamination of its entire medical range including Venturi wound therapy and Quattro alternating pressure reliving mattresses.
