Gastroenterology testing solution

It is now possible to provide analysis for both calprotectin and pancreatic elastase from the same faecal sample.

By extracting the specimen in the BÜHLMANN Calex Cap extraction device, the single sample can be run on open access clinical chemistry analysers with both the BUHLMANN fCAL turbo and fPELA turbo assays. The device provides convenient, hygienic and safe sample collection for the patient and provides a quality, ready extracted sample to the laboratory. It is certified for safe air and land transportation according to IATA 650 (UN3373) regulations. This allows the option to outsource pre-analytics to the patients’ homes. Supplying the device direct to patients to collect their sample at home offers added privacy and ease of use, while reducing the work for laboratories.
